This is really a great price for pure copper cable. I had zero issues with kinking in 2 of these boxes that I ran. Will definitely be purchasing again.

This is a no frill’s basic cable. Easy to pull. Flexable enough to work in tight places. Work as good as cable costing much more.

Great cable, that shipped faster than their estimates. No issues with any of my data runs. Absolutely, I’ll be back for my next project.

I love these cables. Great price for pure copper and I have only had a minor issue with kinking which is fine when you have 30 or more cables to run. I’ve purchased this cable three times for jobs of 30 runs or more with no problems. The only complaint I have is that the stands aren’t very durable but now that I know what to expect, I just remove them, put a small pipe through the spool hole, prop it and keep on working. I will purchase this for all future projects.

When I built my house, I ran CAT-5 cable everywhere… well at least I thought so at the time anyway. This cable was easy to pull through my crawlspace, and it spooled out of the box without any tangles. My next pull will be through my attic, but that won’t happen until summer has past.

Cable was tangled before I could even get it out of the box. The box fell apart and had so many kinks that it is virtually unusable.I wouldn’t buy this again.

Arrived fast and in pristine condition, cable seems to be high quality. I’ve used only about 100′ at this time, and no problems.

Pure copper. Pulled about 800 ft and only a few kinks but that was due to my own fault of not paying close enough attention. Interior spool was broken upon delivery so wasn’t as easy to pull out of the box.

This cable is hard to find and its great quality I was in a pinch needing to hook up new office space and this really saved the day!

I had a large camera installation that required Plenum Wire. I ordered all that another vendor had which was (6) 1000′ boxes and I ordered 1 box from this company. What a mistake compared to the other vendor’s product. I spent so much time having to go back to unkink this wire. The only reason I didn’t try to return it is that it’s not worth the time and effort nor the restocking fee and freight it will cost me just to get back less than half of what I paid.

At about 11 cents per foot this is a good value. The cable is easy to work with. I had no issues cutting and putting ends on it. No snagging pulling it through attic space and into walls.

I purchased 8,000 ft and every box had the same thing I orderd. We install over 300,000 ft of this type of cable a year and never had problem.

The cable pulled nice and easy. All the connections have been rock solid so far. I get a 1GB connection on everything I wired up.

I like this cable, it is marginally thicker than the last I had, and that takes a little more patience at termination, but it is easy to work with.

Tested this out with a few drops at work and in a bedroom at home wiring up an additional unifi ap-ac lite. No issues noted. Unrolling the cable was easy, didn’t see any kinks or cuts in the plastic coating. Box has a table on it so that the technician can mark how much line was used at which location which is handy.

I wired up a pharmacy with the blue plenum solid copper a couple years back. This stuff works great! It has a good jacket which isn’t troublesome to remove, the wiring punches down nicely, and it isn’t a fight to the death to crimp an ethernet jack on it, and after 2 years the performance is the same as day one. I will happily buy this cable again!

Great cable for your money, u will have a problem finding another one of this quality for this price point. Iv has no telling how many miles of cable run through my hands in the 11 years iv been doing installations & many many different brands as well. I’d put this up next to any of the high end brands & bet the only thing you’re going to definitely notice is the extra cash still in your account when u purchase this.!.!.!.

This cable is heavy! Remember it is shielded… so installs will take a bit longer due to the extra layers in the cable. Also the wire is 100% copper! No ‘clad’ wire…. so your network speeds will stay consistent and advanced features like PoE, 10G, etc will work as expected. The cable is also is large in diameter compared to standard CAT6 and while flexible, it is more stiff than most are going to expect if they’ve never used shielded network cable. One final note… the 4 pairs of wire… are thicker than will fit into most terminators… they work great in a punchdown scenario (patch panel, keystone jack) BUT I’d recommend buying RJ45 ends that accept larger than normal diameter wire for termination… and stress relief boots. The RJ45 ends offered by New York Cables do NOT work well with their shielded cable due to this issue.

Should have read the reviews more. But purchased this cable to do a run. Made about 2 dozen cables with various lengths and none of them would test. I could get a continuity test to work but all the cables failed.

We have used this and other cable from Skylite and I have been very pleased. It is the best price I have found anywhere and the shipping is free if you order 2 boxes. You can’t get any better than that. I will use them for all my cable needs. Excellent Quality and Excellent customer service.

When we built our house I ran 1000′ of Cat6 but when it came time to run cable from various places on the first floor, garage and finished basement, I ran out. Finally I decided to finish these projects and get the rest of the jacks wired up across the basement ceiling along the joists in the unfinished space and behind the drop ceiling in the finished part.

Ethernet Connectivity is the way to go. It is faster, more reliable, and just a lot better overall connection as compared to WI-Fi

This product will knock your socks off. The cord I’d strong, and flexible. The connection end look flimsy but they are deceptively strong and easier to put in and stay in. My connection speed is 1000mbs. There may be better one out there but I couldn’t find them

The data runs this has been used for have been working fine for several days now. Running the cable was easy, terminating it was fine. Users haven’t noticed any difference in quality between this and the rest of the network. Twists in each pair vary, as expected. None of the cables runs broke or crimped overly badly when running. Overall pretty good.

This proves it. You can find *anything* on Amazon. My house is spread out enough that I’m tired of not getting a good WiFi signal so I decided to put in some additional WiFi access points but to hard-wire them from my main cable-modem location. 1,000 feet is a bit overkill, but it is nice to have some extra. The cable arrived within 2 days of ordering it and the box was in perfect shape.

This is a great box of cat5e cable and is greased just enough to make pulling straightforward. I’m going to be wiring my house for a security system and so I needed about 1000 feet and this fits the bill.

  55. Stepinwolf

The outer cover was thick and round. I had not used plenum cable before, so maybe it is all that way. I found the cable to be very stiff, so I would not want to use this for a patch cable to my laptop. For permanent long runs, it would be fine. It is stiff enough that turning the connector over to check if the wire was in far enough and the wire colors were where they should be was not as easy as I would like. I liked that it was solid copper rather than copper clad aluminum.

I was wanting to get some outside lights connected via WiFi so I could start doing holiday lighting changes in the outside lights on the garage. I needed to setup a new router to get WiFi strong enough to access the lights and the tscables.com Cat6a Shielded Cable was what was needed. Worked great and now I have WiFi access to the lights so I can program them from my tablet inside the house.

Great cable and good packaging. I’d have given it 5 stars except one box spooled out 2 places that kinked even though it was pulling out across the floor in a building in a straight line. None of the other boxes I purchased did this, and through 3000ft of cable I didn’t have one snag or tangle. Overall I was very pleased.

I got a box of the BNCables CAT5e Plenum (CMP) Cable (1000FT, 24AWG Unshielded – Gray) to retrofit an older home with Ethernet. I used some CAT6 to tie together the racks in the basement, and the switch uplink runs to the first and second floor. The CAT5e is for 1 and 2.5 Gbit/s networking to the slower/less important devices upstairs (WAPs, smart TVs, PCs, non-work PCs, etc.). Though I used the BNCables wire for plenum runs, I also had about a half dozen riser runs. My longest run was about 90 feet, and I got an error-free 2.5 Gbit/s connection on that run. Excellent!
