This six-fiber SC/APC pigtail set terminates 6-strand single-mode cable for PON, FTTH, and RF video networks. Each 3-meter fiber ends in a factory-polished connector with an 8-degree angled end face, which keeps back reflection very low.
Bend-insensitive G.657.A1 glass tolerates tight splitter trays and compact boxes. The 0.9 mm tight buffer adds firm protection. Tight Buffer Handling
The 900 µm buffer is bonded to the fiber for stiffness and crush resistance. Strip it in short passes with a precision stripper. The extra protection pays off in enclosures that get opened often for service changes.
Splitters and Loss Budgets
A 1:32 optical splitter typically adds around 17 dB of loss. GPON Class B+ optics allow a budget of roughly 13 to 28 dB from the OLT to the ONT. With that much used by the splitter, every connector and splice counts. Low-loss APC pigtails help keep the total inside the limit.

Keep APC and UPC Apart
Only connect these pigtails to green APC adapters. A blue UPC port won't mate properly with an angled end face. The result is high loss and possible ferrule damage. Stock and label APC pigtails separately from UPC versions. That simple step stops most field mistakes before they happen.
