This six-fiber single-mode pigtail set terminates a 6-strand OS2 cable with factory-polished SC/UPC connectors. Bend-insensitive G.657.A1 glass keeps loss low in tight splice trays, and it stays fully compatible with standard G.652.D fiber.
Each 3-meter strand carries a 0.9 mm tight buffer for solid protection during routing. The six fibers follow the TIA-598 sequence from blue to white. An OFNR riser rating applies to the buffer material. It's a natural fit for building entrance panels, telecom rooms, and carrier hand-off points. It's well suited to carrier hand-offs and campus links that need long reach.
Six-Strand Single-Mode Terminations
Six-fiber single-mode cable is common for building drops, small campus links, and carrier entrances. This set terminates the whole cable in one package. The colors run blue, orange, green, brown, slate, and white, matching the cable's fibers.
Bend-Insensitive Performance
G.657.A1 fiber supports a 10 mm minimum bend radius under ITU-T rules. At that radius, one turn adds no more than 0.75 dB at 1550 nm. Fibers coiled in crowded trays stay well within their loss budget.
Long-Haul Capability
Single-mode glass carries light on a 9 µm core at 1310 and 1550 nm. Typical cabled attenuation is about 0.4 dB/km at 1310 nm and 0.3 dB/km at 1550 nm. Pair it with LR, ER, or ZR optics to cover anything from a building to a metro area.
Tight Buffer Construction
The 900 µm tight buffer adds stiffness and crush resistance. That suits frames where many pigtails are dressed together and handled often. Strip the buffer in short sections to avoid stressing the glass.
Compatible Single-Mode Optics
These pigtails support common single-mode Ethernet optics through an SC panel and an SC-to-LC patch cord. Typical examples include 1000BASE-LX at up to 10 km, 10GBASE-LR at 10 km, and 10GBASE-ER at 40 km. Short pigtails and low-loss splices leave nearly the full budget for the long run.

UPC Polish Notes
The flat UPC polish suits most single-mode Ethernet and data equipment. For PON or RF video links that need very low back reflection, choose an SC/APC pigtail instead. Keep APC and UPC parts separate in your stock bins. Color-coded connectors make that easy, with blue for UPC and green for APC.
